FAQ

  1. Will the kids launch their own businesses after the program?
Our program is built around simulation. Thus, we will not actively ‘launch’ the products in public but it will be contained in a controlled, playful, and encouraging marketplace setting. We will be providing all materials necessary for the kids to build their own ‘prototypes’ and MVPs. If they decide to pursue and start their own businesses, they can choose to do so but it will not be supported by Kiddopolis at the moment.
  2. What is DISC?
DISC is a behavioral analysis assessment tool designed to give guidance on the different behavior styles. This teaches us how to use this knowledge to improve day-to-day interactions and avoid or face conflicts in a non-confrontational manner.
  3. Is DISC behavioral analysis included in the program?
Yes. DISC assessment is included in the program to help teach kids awareness and build stronger communication skills among their peers.
  4. How long is the program?
The boot camp will run once a week until 5 sessions are completed. Each session will take one full hour and the final day will be 2 hours of simulated marketplace activity.
  5. What is the recommended age for this program?
This program is best for kids between 8-12 years old. We are working on launching other programs that will benefit teenagers, 13+
  6. What is a simulated marketplace?
A simulated marketplace is a controlled economic environment where “transactions” and “services” are part of a simulation with no real exchange of money, products or services.
  7. Is this part of a school curriculum?
This is not part of a regulated school curriculum. These sessions are meant to complement our kids’ knowledge and hard skills with soft skills that are often common among entrepreneurs such as problem-solving and critical thinking, teamwork and collaboration, oral and written communication skills, leadership, flexibility and adaptability, professionalism, and strong work ethics.
